Rakaia Gorge Camp
It's a great spot, formed in 1997 essentially as a fishing and jet boater's camping ground to provide safe, comfortable camping facilities for members and the public. The camp has a beautiful view of the river. It's a great spot to disconnect, enjoy the ever-changing river and magnificent night sky.
What you can do nearby?
Just a short stroll up the road to the lookout or take the river walk straight across from the camp that meanders along the river then up to the lookout.
